The Supreme Court

Comhrá School Programme

Comhrá School Programme

Comhrá is an educational programme which enables second-level students to participate in question-and-answer sessions with judges of the Supreme Court of Ireland from anywhere in Ireland via video call.  Launched in 2019, the programme began as a collaboration between the judges of the Supreme Court, the Courts Service and the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals. It is now its own standalone outreach programme run on an annual basis by the Supreme Court.

The programme provides students with an opportunity to ask judges questions about their work, the role of the Supreme Court and the Irish courts system in our democracy, allowing them to gain a better insight and understanding of the function of the Supreme Court and promote an interest in the law.

Details on how a school can apply to participate in the 2024 Comhrá programme will be available on the website later in the year.
