Publication of Irish Courts Strategic Plan: 2024-27

The five Court Presidents have today jointly published the Irish Courts Strategic Plan: 2024-2027 (‘the Strategy’), a long-term strategy which outlines a broad strategic outlook for each court jurisdiction over the next three years. The document, which contains an overarching framework applicable to all jurisdictions, followed by individual strategies which set key objectives and priority actions specific to each jurisdiction, has been prepared in line with chapter 4, recommendation 19 of the Judicial Planning Working Group Report (‘the Report’).

The Report, which was published by the Department of Justice in February 2023, contains 54 detailed recommendations to increase judicial resources, streamline court processes and improve the court user experience.

The Strategy was submitted to the Department of Justice in December 2024.
